To create motion graphic animations, broadcasting students need to understand the basics of design, animation software (Adobe After Effects), and the principles of motion graphics. The process starts with conceptualising the animation, including determining the style, color scheme, and message.
Next, students learn to create and animate assets such as text, shapes, and images using keyframes and motion paths. They apply techniques like easing for smooth transitions, add effects to enhance visuals, and synchronise animations with audio or video content. Finally, students render the animation in the appropriate format for broadcast. Throughout, it's crucial to focus on clarity and visual impact, ensuring the animation supports the story or message effectively.
At the NZBS, we have powerful editing suites loaded with all industry standard video and animation software including After Effects, Photoshop and Blender.
